Manali: Rohtang Pass was thrown open for traffic today after remaining closed for the past three days. HPTDC authorities in Manali confirmed the Manali – Leh bus service resumed today and the bus left as per schedule this morning.

Traffic in Spiti valley to Kaza was restored for smaller vehicles during the day, Assistant public relation and information officer Ram Dev informed over phone from Kaza. He said the road clearance work was being done on war footing and SDM Kaza is directly monitoring the road clearing work.

Small vehicles crossed over the Kunzum Pass to reach district headquarters at Keylong today. Traffic from the Rekong  Peo side was also affected and till today only a few smaller vehicles managed to reach Kaza as the road was blocked at few places due to land slides, Ram Dev informed.

Weather has cleared up in the Lahul and Spiti valley as the region had bright sunshine during the day.
