India Tourism to conduct trekking expeditions in Himachal Pradesh

Government of Himachal Pradesh and India Tourism, in association with Mountaineering and Allied Sports in Manali, will conduct trekking expeditions on three different routes in the state in September and October 2009. trek

The first expedition is on the route from  Manali to Beas Kund in Kullu district, which will take place from September 15 to 18, 2009, the second route is from Khara Patthaer, Giri Ganga to Jubbal in Shimla district and the third route is from Dharamsala, Triund to Indrahar Pass in Kangra district. The trekking expeditions on the second and third route will take place from October 1– 4, 2009.

India Tourism aims to showcase trekking routes through these expeditions and expects 30 participants for each expedition. India Tourism is in a process of advertising with the media to attract adventure tourists for the expeditions. The manpower and guidance, for the expeditions, will be provided by the Mountaineering Institute.
